We are proud to be working with The Lower Green Community Centre alongside a variety of other partner organisations to support the residents of Lower Green in Esher.
With a grant from The National Lottery, Walton Charity and Elmbridge Borough Council we are able to provide one-to-one energy advice, support community events, deliver energy support workshops as well as run a drop-in service at the centre.
The energy advice support we are able to provide includes:
• Information to help people save money on energy and water bills
• Help dealing with energy and water debts
• Help with budgeting and accessing energy grants
• Information and advice on scams
• Tailored advice to help prevent further difficulties
• Eligibility and registration for the Priority Services Register
• Encouraging people to access the support they need and referring people for further specialist support
• Access to fuel crisis support
We particularly help those on a low income that are struggling to heat their homes.
By hosting a range of organisations at the centre residents can not only access advice on energy and water but also receive help to tackle money worries, access budgeting support, access food support and get referred for specialist support such as employment and training, parenting support and debt advice. This is an excellent example of working together, a multi-agency approach between partner organisations operating as a single point of contact.
